Job Purpose

Responsible for the daily operations of flydubai at the designated outstation and for ensuring the highest levels of customer service are afforded to our passengers during both normal operations and at times of program disruption. Liaising with our contracted ground handling provider, the airport authority and other governmental agencies the Airport Services Manager will ensure appropriate allocation of resources to meet flydubai procedures and policies are followed, whilst working within a defined budget.

Key Result Responsibilities

Manage, organize and coach the Airport Services team.

Ensure adequate internal and external resources are available and correctly trained, deployed and presented.

Implement, monitor/review contracted suppliers against established SLAs and KPIs and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, company policies and procedures at allocated outstation — to include third party agreements outside the main Handling Agents.

Drive service delivery to ensure contractual KPIs are satisfied and/or exceeded.

Monitor safe, secure an efficient ground handling process day to day in accordance with GCAA CAR-OPS flydubai’s AOC, ICAO, IATA and the regulations of the country operated in. This should include all areas of passenger and ramp handling in order to achieve and maintain the highest customer service standards at check-in/boarding gate/ramp and arrivals.

Promote awareness and compliance of service providers to the regulations of the authority in the country of operation.

Prepare station audit arrangements.

Establish process to facilitate swift authentication of invoices against services provided.

Monitor airport facilities and liaise with Terminal Management to initiate corrective actions as necessary.

Ensure completion of regular competence checks and audits of outsourced service providers.

Ensure prompt reporting of any irregular events and conduct follow-up investigations to derive appropriate corrective and preventative actions.

Identify underlying physical or procedural problems and recommend and implement solutions.

Meet formally with Service Partners/Providers to ensure that they are adhering to the flydubai processes and procedures.

Recommend possible development of Service Level Agreements to support renegotiation of existing Agreements.

Control all ground handling costs to ensure FZ operations are managed in the most cost- efficient way.

Qualifications: Graduate Educated up to degree level including qualified to an advanced level in Passenger Services, Ground Operations, Baggage Claims and Weight and Balance.

Experience: Given the specific requirements at outstations, a minimum of 10 years’ experience is required in Airport Passenger handling/Operations, of which minimum of eight years should be at a managerial level.

Knowledge: Strong knowledge of terminal and ramp activities, aircraft weight and balance, Baggage Tracing, and various software packages used by the Company such as Word, Excel, etc. Fluent in spoken and written English and local language

Ability/Skills: Must be able to work under pressure in an environment which requires a very high degree of initiative.
